Illustration for the short story Rapunzel by Brothers Grimm, as submission for the 2025 Folio Society Book Illustration Award. The quote I chose to illustrate was:

“In her rage she seized Rapunzel's beautiful hair, twisted it twice round her left hand, snatched up a pair of shears and cut off the plaits, which fell to the ground.”
